Earlier this year, we said goodbye to one of our dearest friends, Sal Nicosia, owner of the Shanley Hotel. I cannot even put into words how much we will miss him. He was like a member of our family. I can only hope he is resting peacefully and watching over his wife, Teresa, and their family. For a while, I did not feel comfortable with the idea of going back to the hotel for a paranormal investigation. It just didn't seem right with Sal gone. Recently, my wife, Jo-Ann, had a dream that we were there and Sal was still alive. We did our investigation and hung out with him just like old times. It was like nothing had changed. We think that is Sal's way of telling us it's okay to go back to the hotel. He wants us to be there, keeping Teresa company, and being near his spiritual presence. We believe he is there with her, not because he is trapped, but because it is where he wants to be. Home. In two weeks, we will return to the hotel for the first time, since he died. I don't really know what to expect. I know it is selfish, but it would be nice to see him or hear him, again. I hope he has found the peace he deserves. He was a good friend to us. Until we meet, again. |
